Ones Technology, a company dedicated to biometric and smart card-based security, as well as access control systems, has been committed to our country’s future ideals and goals since its establishment in 2008. It continues to thrive as an integrated research, development, and production center, leading technological advancements and innovations in its field. With its research and production activities, Ones Technology has become a center where people from all domestic and foreign strata want to observe on-site R&D and production processes.
TÜBİTAK, to propel Turkey forward in technological advancements and lead the future through a distinctive R&D and production perspective in Turkey’s journey in science and technology, visited Ones Technology with a committee led by Prof. Dr. Hasan Mandal.
During the visit, the president of TÜBİTAK, Prof. Dr. Hasan Mandal, obtained detailed information about the projects run by Ones Technology. Onur Sırmatel, a board member at Ones Technology, and Güçlühan Kuzyaka, R&D Manager, provided insights into the works conducted at the Ones Technology R&D Center, discussed ongoing R&D activities, and shared overall information about Ones Technology in a meeting.
The committee demonstrated significant interest in the BioAffix® CardReader product family during the roadshow to the R&D Center. This product line is designed to be compatible with the national card operating system, AKİS, developed by TÜBİTAK. They also received detailed information about the BioAffix® Gate Extreme, featuring palm vein biometric technology that supports all card types. Additionally, information was shared about BioAffix® Gate Vision, a biometric face recognition system equipped with an infrared depth-perceptive 3D camera, which was introduced in the last quarter of 2023. They examined the efforts made on-site to continue the development of the biometric and card-based security and access control systems that constitute the BioAffix® product ecosystem, which can be integrated, using national capabilities in Türkiye.
Eight patented technologies, consisting of two national and six international patents, developed by Ones Technology were presented to Prof. Dr. Hasan Mandal, the president of TÜBİTAK, and his accompanying committee during their evaluation visit to the Ones Technology R&D Center. Ones Technology, aiming to sustain its commitment to developing local technology through its existing patents, engaged in an exchange of information regarding how indigenous technologies produced by TÜBİTAK in the future could be further enhanced more efficiently and sustainably. This exchange was part of a capacity assessment related to the Ones Technology R&D center.
As part of the ‘Technology-Focused Industrial Initiative’ support project conducted in collaboration with the Ministry of Industry and Technology and TÜBİTAK, the investment in an electronic assembly line was also on the agenda of the meeting.
Güçlühan Kuzyaka, Ones Technology R&D Manager and board member reflected on TÜBİTAK’s visit, stating: “The recognition of our endeavors within the framework of the national technology initiative further motivates us. The visit by the president of TÜBİTAK, Prof. Dr. Hasan Mandal, and his accompanying committee to our R&D Center serves as an affirmation that, as the Ones Technology family, we are moving in the right direction.
We are advancing with an institutional culture that believes the key to success lies in fostering R&D and production discipline. Our success is underscored by national and international awards, certifications, and numerous innovation and business development accolades. However, the most significant evidence of our success is the fruition of our dedicated team efforts. Today, the BioAffix product ecosystem, capable of flawlessly verifying millions of identities in 12 countries, starting from our own, serves as a promising testament to the future of our country.”
At the end of the visit, discussions took place regarding the achievements, particularly in TÜBİTAK-supported projects, and insights were exchanged about future possibilities within the scope of new support programs announced by TÜBİTAK.
